Part-Time Social Media Manager (Remote)

Overview

We’re looking for a part-time social media manager who thinks like a strategist, not an order-taker. You’ll own our social presence with one goal in mind: turning attention into leads and clients.

This isn’t a role where you’ll be handed a list of posts to publish. We want someone who researches what’s working, benchmarks us against others in our space, brings ideas to the table, and takes ownership of the results.

Our priority platforms, in order:

  1. YouTube – our main focus for growth
  2. LinkedIn – a key channel for reaching clients and building authority
  3. Instagram – lower priority, kept active as a supporting channel

Hours: 8 to 10 hours per week

Location: Remote

What You’ll Do

  • Shape how we position ourselves as a service-based business on social media, so the right people see us as the go-to choice
  • Build and refine content that supports lead generation, with clear paths from content to conversations to clients
  • Research and benchmark peers, competitors, and brands outside our industry, and bring back ideas we can test
  • Plan monthly content with a clear point of view on what to post and why
  • Track performance against conversion goals, not just follower counts, and adjust based on what the numbers show
  • Share a short monthly report on what worked, what didn’t, and what you recommend next
  • Collaborate with our team on content creation and scheduling

How Success Is Measured

This role is judged on results. We’ll look at:

  • Leads and inquiries generated from social media
  • Conversions from social channels into calls, sign-ups, or clients
  • Growth and engagement on YouTube and LinkedIn
  • The quality of ideas and recommendations you bring forward

Type Of Candidate We Are Searching For

  • You’ve managed social media for a service-based business, coach, consultant, or agency, and can show how your work led to leads or sales
  • You know YouTube and LinkedIn well, including how content gets discovered and how audiences move from watching to reaching out
  • You research on your own. You notice what others are doing well and figure out how to adapt it
  • You’re comfortable with analytics and use data to make decisions
  • You take initiative. When something isn’t working, you suggest a fix before anyone asks
  • You communicate clearly and work well remotely with limited oversight
  • You are a team player and know how to collaborate with a designer, video editor and writer to produce amazing content

About Us

For over 16 years, Vegan Mainstream has helped vegan entrepreneurs build businesses that last through coaching, marketing services, and online training. We’re a small, remote team that loves watching our clients grow.

For most of that time, our energy has gone into our clients’ growth. In 2027, we’re investing in our own. That starts with social media, which for us isn’t about follower counts. It’s how people find us, get to know us, and decide to work with us.

We’re looking for someone who wants to turn our channels into a real lead-generation engine, and help us prove the results we teach our clients to achieve.

Hiring Timeline

  • Interviews: Weeks of November 9 and November 16, 2026 (with a possible extra week in early December)
  • Final project: Finalists complete a short paid project the week of November 23
  • Offer: Early December
  • Start date: Tuesday, January 5, 2027

We know this is a busy time of year. If you have holiday travel planned in December, that’s no problem, since the role begins in January.

These are our ideal dates, but we have some flexibility. If you’re a strong fit and can’t make the interview weeks, please apply anyway and let us know your availability.
