Coalition for Healthy School Food (CHSF), is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that introduces plant-based foods and nutrition education in schools to educate the whole school community about the health, environmental, and social justice issues of our food choices. We are seeking a full-time Marketing and Communications Manager. A generous benefits package is included.
The Marketing and Communications Manager will work from home. The position will require occasional day trip travel post-pandemic and the candidate needs to live in the Northeast United States, within a few hours of Ithaca, NY, and New York City.

Position Objective:
To work on specific projects, as assigned by the president, to help promote the goals of the organization
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Conduct research, prepare analyses, and suggest strategies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and briefing papers
Draft correspondence and respond to inquiries and requests, utilizing discretion and independent judgment
Oversee Web content related to assigned projects
Travel within and outside the U.S. on assignments
Write speeches, give talks, and attend functions
Perform any other duties, as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years of research experience
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects

Were you an expert at "clickbait" before it was a thing? Is "sensationalism" your middle name? You should have experience writing and promoting content for a brand or nonprofit and/or experience working in a digital newsroom. You must be accustomed to writing, editing, and posting several headlines/stories daily.
