Position Objective:  To promote the funding and implementation of modern, animal-free research methods at the National Institutes of Health and other government agencies. Primary Responsibilities and Duties: • Present the sound scientific case for adoption of the principles of PETA scientists’ Research Modernization Deal to government and government-funded scientists and other decision makers • Draft and obtain the necessary data for letters, factsheets, white papers, reports, government comments, and other types of correspondence  • Attend and/or present at scientific conferences and communicate with scientists on issues surrounding animal research as well as on non-animal research methods • Present complex recommendations and represent the organization in dealings with state and federal agencies, public- and private-sector organizations, international forums, multinational companies, media, and advocacy and special-interest groups • Perform any other duties...
