Job Description

Position Objective:

To assist People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in its work to push major corporations to eliminate cruel practices and products


Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform advanced research and analysis on issues related to animal welfare, environmental impact, corporate supply chains, vegan alternatives, consumer trends, and more, to support PETA's Corporate Affairs department in its work with major corporations
  • Prepare in-depth analyses in various formats including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Exercise sound judgment and confidentiality at all times
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor



  • Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of previous experience as a research assistant or in another research role
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
  • Proven exceptional research abilities, including qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Outstanding analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proven exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated excellent decision-making skills and the proven ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle
  • Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA's positions on issues
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organization
