Job Description

PETA has the most-engaged social media audience of any advocacy organization and over one billion video views each year. A major piece of our content strategy that succeeds in expanding and captivating our audience is our ability to push out high-quality video content quickly. Our Online Video Content Manager will oversee a team of producers, who are responsible for creating compelling videos shared on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. The Online Video Content Manager will ensure PETA’s message and marketing strategy are carried out in all online videos – and that our videos are timely and ahead of online content trends.


Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage staff members in the Online Video Lab Division of PETA's Marketing Department

• Set goals for the Online Video Lab and strategize accordingly

• Mentor Online Video Lab staff members in developing a voice that is consistent with PETA's standards and online success

• Work closely with the PETA Foundation's Audio/Visual Department on the creation of online videos

• Collaborate with department stakeholders to create online video content that showcases PETA's unique work

• Create, write, and edit detailed marketing plans for online video

• Generate individual projects based on organizational goals

• Oversee the creation of the team's projects

• Build relationships with content marketers with the goal of promoting PETA's work

• Research and explore new promotion possibilities

• Track and analyze the success of online campaigns and make changes in strategy accordingly

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor



• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Five years of online video experience

• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience

• Understanding of complex marketing concepts and strategies

• Strong working knowledge of youth culture and social media

• Strong working knowledge of all stages of video production

• Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven exceptional analytical, organizational, and research skills

• Proven excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills

• Proven strong leadership skills, strategic-thinking skills, and long-term vision

• Proven ability to create and deliver sales presentations and close deals

• Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle

• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
