Job Description

Your Mission: To take charge of PETA’s successful influencer projects and support the cultivation of relationships with influencers to create exciting partnerships and content to further the discussion around animal rights. With your creative ideas and hard work, we’ll expand the impact of our influencer program, engaging new influencers with memorable campaigns and partnerships. 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Scaling up PETA’s influencer and creator strategy and developing new campaign concepts

• Managing all phases of influencer discovery, seeking out and developing professional relationships with creators and their entourages across social media platforms

• Staying on top of social media trends from the latest TikTok dance to the newest Instagram aesthetic and using them as inspiration to devise ways to encourage animal rights action for influencers

• Manage PETA’s team of influencer relations coordinators and assistants

• Developing and overseeing planning of influencer experiences, photoshoots, events, and giftings from start to finish—inclusive of concept development, execution, influencer communication, expense management, and event reporting

• Managing influencer content creation process, ensuring that content is approved and posted efficiently

• Identifying and pursuing opportunities for influencer outreach, attending performances, festivals, and social media events, virtually and in-person 

• Attending brainstorms and weekly meetings with various departments to identify outreach and promo opportunities, discuss new and upcoming campaigns, and plan content

• Track, measure, and analyze performance across influencer marketing efforts to identify and share key learnings and insights

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or public relations 

• 5+ years of experience working with brands, celebrities, or social media influencers 

• At least three years of people management experience required 

• Experience using influencer tools like Upfluence or Sprinklr

• Extensive knowledge of and interest in current trends

• Knowledge of PETA campaigns and animal rights issues inside and out 

• Support for PETA's philosophy and have the ability to advocate our positions on issues professionally

• Experience with project managing gifting campaigns from start to finish

• Experience managing influencer data, outreach, and performance within influencer marketing platforms

• You'll be working quickly and navigating a large organization with many goals. We need a go-getter with a passion to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines

• Willingness and able to travel when needed

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record 

• Must have access to reliable transportation 

• Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle 

• Commitment to the objectives of the organization 

  

The salary range for this position is $66,560 - $67,500 annually. The ultimate salary within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
