Job Description

Coyote Sky Tacos is looking for a passionate individual with food service experience to lead our vegan taco truck operation located in Kanab, the gateway to southern Utah's national parks and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.

Key Responsibilities:
Ability to prepare and cook food to menu specifications and standards.
Oversee food truck operations from start to finish.
Able to work quickly while implementing set standards towards quality, portion and presentation.
Prepare for food service; clean and prep food, set up and stock stations.
Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness are a must. Keen attention to detail.
Ability to open and close the food truck independently and perform all cleaning duties.
Promote and embrace the taco truck’s community and culture by demonstrating respect, positive energy, dependability, honesty, initiative, outgoing nature, and a pleasant, professional appearance.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Participates in training programs.
Conducts safety, sanitation and maintenance programs.
Maintains food cost while ensuring quality standards.
Manages purchasing and inventory controls.
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
All food truck maintenance.
Greeting guests as they approach the food truck.
Explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods, promoting daily specials.
Taking food and beverage orders including payment handling.
Serving food and beverages to our guests.
Stocking the service window area with supplies such as utensils and condiments.
Working with other crew members and being a team player.

Preferred Qualifications:
Restaurant and food service experience.
Previous Line Cook experience is preferred.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledgeable on HACCP controls along with proper storage and use of food.
Purchasing, food storage and sanitation experience.
P&L and financial reporting experience.
Knowledge of budgets and inventory controls.
Strong training skills.
Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office and POS.

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.
Ability to work standing for up to 8 hours or more at a time.
Self-starter, innovative and ability to multitask.
Creative and forward thinking.
Ability to lift, bend and carry up to 40 lbs.
Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles.
ServSafe or Department of Health certification.
Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional business etiquette and client relations.
Maintains a positive attitude under pressure and ability to motivate team members.
