Nonprofit organization seeks fundraising professional with at least three years of experience with major gifts and a passion for our mission to promote plant-based diets and alternatives to the use of animals in research to oversee donor relations and the cultivation of new supporters in California. Driver’s license and ability to travel required.

About the Development Team

Our development program generates fundraising revenue through a variety of channels, including individual gifts, grants, direct response, planned giving, and special events. The development team is dedicated to finding innovative ways to keep existing supporters informed of campaign progress and to seek new support. The team is knowledgeable and well-versed in the organization’s efforts and prides itself on being creative, accessible, and donor-centric.

About this Career Opportunity

The Physicians Committee’s work to save animals and people is funded almost entirely by individual donations—this fundraising role is critical to keeping the work strong and moving forward. This fundraising professionalis responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individuals in support of the Physicians Committee’s mission. They will be responsible for achieving short-term and long-term fundraising goals, working closely with staff to strengthen strategies, and engaging supporters.

 

This is a full-time position, with a remote working arrangement in California. Travel will be required.  The Physicians Committee’s headquarters is in Washington, D.C.

We are seeking a fundraising professional with at least three years of experience with major gifts and a passion for our mission to promote plant-based diets and alternatives to the use of animals in research. The successful candidate will follow a plant-based diet, be creative, dedicated and have excellent communication skills. If you are a people person, passionate about helping others realize their philanthropic dreams and goals, we'd like to hear from you.

Driver’s license and ability to travel required. Knowledge and experience of Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
