JOB TITLE - Advanced cooking teacher

HOURS OF WORK
12 consecutive Saturday’s.
Cooking days - start time 9am, finish time 6pm - 9 hours per teaching day.
Non cooking days - start time 10am, finish time 5pm - 7 hours per teaching day (note there are 2 days when the students are not cooking; one is for nutrition talks in the morning and a suppliers visit in the afternoon, the other is for careers talks, the teacher is expected to guide these classes)
Plus 5 hours of student calls each week at a convenient time for the teacher and students.
Commencing 9th January 2021. The teacher must be able to attend each session to give consistency for the students. If this first term goes well we would want to hire the teacher for our future terms and, potentially, give the teacher the option to manage our online course. As the school is growing there is the option for the right teacher to be involved in the development of future courses and the school in a wider context.

£2,000 - £3,000 per term dependent on experience.
The main function of this role is to deliver the Fast Track Vegan Chef course. This course teaches passionate homecooks to prepare them to take their first step into a professional kitchen. The course content has been developed over the last year (this includes theory and recipes). The teacher will be supported by two assistants that have been working with the school for a while. The assistants will set up the class / clear down and they will be responsible for weighing out ingredients. The teacher will receive a full teachers hand book before the course plus training.
