ProVeg is an international food awareness organisation with the mission to reduce global animal consumption by 50% by the year 2040. We are active in eight countries across four continents and are growing rapidly. We work with governments, private companies, public institutions, medical professionals, and the public to help the world transition to a more plant-based society and economy that is sustainable for humans, animals, and the planet.

Role Summary

Do you want to use your expertise in blogging, copywriting, and general communications to spread the plant-based message and make a real difference for animals, our health, society, and the planet? Does the prospect of joining and contributing to a global plant-based organisation excite you? If so, we invite you to apply for the position of Content Creator at ProVeg in our Berlin office.

Responsibilities

  • Creating text content about plant-based living for the ProVeg website (proveg.com/de) and all media channels (articles, blog posts, info material, etc.).
  • Editing articles, blog posts, website content, and social media posts.
  • Briefing of external authors, translators, proofreaders, and graphic designers.
  • Maximising our content reach by optimising content according to current SEO criteria.
  • Assuring quality control in close cooperation with the editor-in-chief and the research department.
  • Supporting the further development of our content strategy.
  • Supporting target-group-related research and its implementation.
  • Working alongside the Digital Communications Manager to create content for the various social media channels.
  • Developing ideas for graphics and working together with content creators or external service providers to successfully engage with our target audience.
  • Repurposing content for different mediums, including social media and video.
  • Attend meetings and answer calls as required.
  • Develop knowledge of plant-based-related issues and trends relevant to the role.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Relevant bachelors degree in communications, journalism, marketing, international relations, or other relevant fields.
  • At least two years’ experience in writing and editing online texts such as blog articles.
  • Experience in SEO writing.
  • Strong understanding of target groups and strong communication skills, with a strong feeling for the language.
  • Secure handling of the WordPress editorial platform.
  • Experience with popular web analysis tools and knowledge of current digital trends.
  • Creative mind, with the ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content.
  • Good knowledge of topics related to plant-based nutrition and lifestyles.
  • Proactive, result-oriented, and structured approach to work.
  • Comfortable with working with tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional (level C2 or native) verbal and written communication skills in German, as well as excellent English-language skills.

Preferred:

  • Background in the plant-based-nutrition or dietetics sector.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and a basic understanding of web administration and web programming.
  • Existing network of relevant bloggers and influencers.
  • Experienced in handling project-management tools (especially Wrike).
  • Experienced with newsletter tools (especially Mailchimp).
  • Experienced in digital content marketing and SEO.
  • Basic knowledge of graphics processing (Photoshop or similar).
  • Experienced in creating and editing video content.
  • Experienced in Photography.
