ProVeg is an international food awareness organisation with the mission to reduce global animal consumption by 50% by the year 2040. We are active in eight countries across four continents and are growing rapidly. We work with governments, private companies, public institutions, medical professionals, and the public to help the world transition to a more plant-based society and economy that is sustainable for humans, animals, and the planet.

We base our strategy on empirically-based evidence whenever possible. We seek to stay abreast of the latest research to inform our strategic considerations and outreach materials. We evaluate all of our programs to make sure we are allocating our resources in the best way to reach our goal.

Responsibilities Creating text content about plant-based living for the ProVeg website (proveg.com/de) and all media channels (articles, blog posts, info material, etc.). Editing articles, blog posts, website content, and social media posts. Briefing of external authors, translators, proofreaders, and graphic designers. Maximising our content reach by optimising content according to current SEO criteria. Assuring quality control in close cooperation with the editor-in-chief and the research department. Supporting the further development of our content strategy. Supporting target-group-related research and its implementation. Working alongside the Digital Communications Manager to create content for the various social media channels. Developing ideas for graphics and working together with content creators or external service providers to successfully engage with our target audience. Repurposing content for different mediums, including social media and video. Attend meetings and answer calls as required. Develop knowledge of plant-based-related issues and trends relevant to the role.   Qualifications Required: Relevant bachelors degree in communications, journalism, marketing, international relations, or other relevant fields. At least two years’ experience in writing and editing online texts such as blog articles. Experience in SEO writing. Strong understanding of target groups and strong communication skills, with a strong feeling for the language. Secure handling of the WordPress editorial platform. Experience with popular web analysis tools and knowledge of current digital trends. Creative mind, with the ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content. Good knowledge of topics related to plant-based nutrition and lifestyles. Proactive, result-oriented, and structured approach to work. Comfortable with working with tight deadlines. Exceptional (level C2 or native) verbal and written communication skills in German, as well as excellent English-language skills. Preferred: Background in the plant-based-nutrition or dietetics sector. Basic knowledge of HTML and a basic understanding of web administration and web programming. Role summary This is an exciting opportunity to support the growing global plant-based movement. The ProVeg Global Vegan Advocacy Grants Program provides financial and capacity-building support to vegan advocacy organizations across the globe. Having launched at the end of 2018, we are currently supporting more than 70 organizations from 40 countries, with plans to expand. The Grants Program Coordinator is an important role that manages administrative details that sustain the ProVeg Global Vegan Advocacy Grants Program and is also responsible for supporting the development and implementation of global capacity-building projects. This is a position with the opportunity for growth catered toward your interests and skills, and is ideal for those pursuing a career in international capacity development and/or grantmaking.    Responsibilities Grantmaking Programmatic Support (45%): Grant-funding administration, including grant transfers and liaising with international banks to develop solutions to country-specific funding constraints. Coordinate various types of international grantmaking. Support applicants and grantees.   Capacity Building Programmatic Support (45%): Support in developing and launching global capacity-building projects for our 70+ grant recipients from 40+ countries; coordinate with ProVeg staff to develop capacity-building resources. Liaising with internal and external partners to develop collaborative projects, including coordinating and monitoring project plans and schedules. Play a key role in organizing international events.   Other Programmatic Support (10%): Support program evaluations as requested.
