Job Description

Position Objective:

To manage the implementation of PETA’s mobile marketing program in the U.S. and Canada


Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Grow PETA’s subscriber base, keeping current subscribers engaged

• Research new mobile technologies and develop appropriate marketing plans

• Manage the creation, preparation, and sending of mobile messages for PETA

• Develop criteria for tracking and analyzing mobile traffic and determining the success of mobile campaigns

• Determine audience segmentation and schedule for mobile messages

• Manage the mobile messages calendar

• Assist with updates to and the promotion of mobile apps

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor




• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Minimum of three years of marketing or mobile experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of online and mobile technology

• Proven interest in and strong working knowledge of the Internet and social media

• Proven knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Proven sophisticated understanding and appreciation of creative work

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated excellent organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills

• Proven ability to conduct and analyze marketing research

• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines

• Support for PETA’s philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA’s positions on issues

• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
