Description: We’re looking for a strategist for our SeaWorld campaign. This is someone who has extensive knowledge of marine mammals, the effects of captivity, and SeaWorld’s history. We’re interested in creative minds and people with excellent written and verbal communication skills, an ability to think outside the box, to move quickly to respond to news and events, as well as experience overseeing large projects from conception to completion. Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Seek out opportunities and develop and follow through on efforts to keep the spotlight on the suffering of the animals at SeaWorld

• Develop and manage a wide variety of projects for PETA’s SeaWorld campaign

• Stay abreast of complaints, violations, lawsuits, legislation, and other issues related to SeaWorld

• Analyze legal and government filings and documents to look for opportunities to support PETA’s SeaWorld campaign

• Conduct research and analysis and draft letters and other documents and complaints

• Travel to meet with officials as needed

• Represent PETA to the media and the public

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor



• College degree or equivalent experience

• Marine biology or legal background preferred

• Previous campaign- or project-management experience

• Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Proven excellent research and analytical skills

• Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively

• Proven ability to communicate with a variety of people in a professional and personable manner

• Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proven ability to take initiative and follow through

• Demonstrated ability to multitask, work with minimal direct oversight, and meet deadlines

• Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver’s license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record

• Support for PETA’s philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA’s positions on issues

• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
